Like Amy, Lukas was a smart, funny, and endearing character - and the two of them together? Just lovely.
“I do have a mighty sword.” Said so deadpan, I had to giggle. “I won’t ask you to polish it,”
As a respectable scientist though, Lukas can't possibly believe in things like curses; except...something is a bit hinky. Regardless, time with Amy just might be worth a potentially fatal ending.
Secondary characters were fun and only added to the lighthearted feel of the story. This would make a perfect beach read, or a perfect it's-cold-and-I-want-to-escape read. However your environment, funny, sweet, and a little steamy is always a good way to go.
Oh, and side note to author *whispers and side eyes*: I saw what you did.

My Romance Curse is a romantic comedy set in Australia. It's about zombie loving, erotic writer by night and business owner by day eccentric, Amy and a sexy Norwegian scientist, Lukas. Thanks to Marge and a flurry of people, they meet and all sorts of shenanigans begin. These two become inseparable however Amy's past keeps butting in, trying to ruin everything building between them. There are several laugh out loud moments throughout this story, a lot of which is unexpected and entertaining. There is some sex however it's not explicit nor does the lack of it make or break the story. The story is strong on it's own and heavy on the humor. My Romance Curse is an over the top, hilarious and refreshing romantic comedy. This marks the authors first foray into this genre and she did a great job. I laughed, I swooned, I smiled and I even gasped in terror (once). There's a bit of a twist that I didn't expect however it ties everything up nice and tidy in the end.
Poor Amy every time she meets a great guy he dies. She believes that she is destined to be alone for the rest of her life due to her curse. Then she meets Lucas Vinter a gorgeous scientist from Norway..he looks like a Viking and saves her beloved bike after it falls in the ocean. He falls for Amy hard and has trouble convincing her that she does not have a curse. She is afraid that he will die and he does have some mishaps that can be easily explained as accidents. Amy is unsure even though she wants the curse to be in her head too, because she is falling for this man who swept her off her feet. I absolutely loved this book it was fun and carefree most of the time, has hot sex and has a surprise ending. I am a huge fan of Cari Silverwood and her writing as Wren Tirrell she is just as good or better. I have found that Cari has a great sense of humor, please read Fan Anonymous she has wonderful comedic timing! I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I did!

Amy is terrified to get involved with Lukas, as she believes she is cursed and will never have true love. Lukas, being the sexy scientist that he is, doesn't believe in curses. He decides that he's going to prove to Amy that the curse is all in her head and a thing of fantasy...or is it?
This book is fun from beginning to end. I love the characters, I love the plot, I just love everything about this book. I love Amy, but I can't lie, I love the adorable and sexy Viking Lukas even more. And I have to say, I love Amy and Lukas together as a couple even more. There were moments where I was laughing, and others where I was holding my breath, just wondering what was going to become of Amy and Lukas, and all the craziness that's included. This is a fun, light hearted read that you leave you with a huge smile on your face and drooling for a certain Viking Geek.
Reading a story about Australia always lifts my spirits. Especially when the author intersperses the slang and lifestyles that are indigenous to the area. And, when that story also describes the island and ways of the people, it makes it a little more interesting. The story itself, unfortunately, left me a little bit confused.
I love that Cari Silverwood, writing as Wren Tirrell, is trying her hand at romance and, this being her first book, it was good. I think I would actually say that she’s a “work in progress”. She was still quirky and a little off the wall but I was happy that there wasn’t anything too dark within the confines of the story. A few Zombies, a couple of ghosts and a love story … unusual but interesting.
The relationship between Amy and Lukas was interesting, to say the least. Especially since Amy refused to be in a relationship with any man due to the curse. Men are good to scratch the itch but, nothing more. Lukas has set out to prove the curse wrong but it is sadly proved right and he can’t shake the feeling that there’s more at work here than just a curse.
So, what left me confused was the whole Zombie and Teddy Bear thing. I know that it was a spoof and was written like one but, the scenes didn’t seem to flow into each other when they were written. There were times that I did giggle and smile and then there were times that I scratched my head. But, all in all, it was an enjoyable Romance with characters that were well written and an unusual storyline.
